Da bietet Tullius ihm einen Handel an: Ist Batiatus bereit, Gannicus abzugeben, sollen seine Gladiatoren an den Eröffnungsspielen der neuen Arena teilnehmen dürfen. Während der jüngere Batiatus mit seiner Machtlosigkeit konfrontiert wird, schmiedet Lucretia finstere Pläne.
